Our process is a proven path to satisfaction. We begin by delving into what the client wishes, who the target audience is, what kind of technology the target audience will likely use, and gather any material the client can provide that helps us see into their mind. We also request the Client to look and submit links of any Websites they find that they either like or particularly don’t like. If the client is not familiar with the Internet, we survey other sites in the Client’s field and suggest links.

Once we have a good set of design notes, we begin the iterative process. We propose a design sample, (for more complex sites we may prepare two independent samples), and use client feedback to refine the look until it feels just right.

For those who really don’t have the budget for a custom-designed Web site, we have a template based service with a difference. Good Information Architecture not only creates a user-friendly site, it creates a process of web site development that is client and developer friendly. Information Architecture basically boils down to that old recipe for success: preparation.

When a client comes to us, our first question is: why? Why do you want a web site? We’re not trying to scare away clients, we are taking the first step in developing good information architecture. Determining the purpose of the new site. Of course we go much deeper than that. We want to know what everyone in the client organization expects out of the Web site. We want to know who they expect to visit the site, and what those visitors will be expecting to see. Our goal is to identify all relevant audiences, the expectations of those audiences, and the goal of our client in addressing each audience. Good information architecture is transparent.

Our process is one of research, strategic thinking, and preparation. Before we build the site, we determine who will see it, what they want to see, why we are showing it to them, and where everything goes. The foundation goes in first, then we construct the building. The Business Webmaster Plan brings the feel of an in-house Web department to the active Web site owner. If you know you will be overloaded trying to do the site updating in-house, you should consider this plan. Also included is a discount rate for more extensive changes.
